About B-WISE, LLC
Experienced. Certified. Supportive.
Since 1996, the founder of B-WISE, LLC has mentored women in public service and helped emerging leaders navigate through the peaks, obstacles and successes of the workplace.
As a woman of color in public administration, the founder of B-WISE is blessed to have a mentor executive to serve as a sounding board and keep her mostly out of bear traps, but some lessons have been learned the hard way.
After too many conversations with other women of color who felt isolated and alone in the federal workplace, the founder decided it was imperative to use her talents as a mentor and acumen as a leader to create an organization that provided a forum for Black women and allies.

The founder has a PhD in Political Science from the prestigious Howard University with a focus in Public Administration and American Government, with an undergraduate degree in Communication from #Thee Jackson State University, W.E.B. DuBois Honors College.
Dr. Yolanda J. Butler entered public service first as an intern at the US Department of State, and then as a Presidential Management Fellow at the US Department of Health and Human Services. The founder's public leadership experience spans service as a director, deputy director and senior advisor. She has a certificate in Executive Leadership from American University. She has twice received an agency Exemplary Leadership award.
The founder of B-WISE knows that truly, "No woman is an island unto herself."
Let us come together to listen, support, learn and develop better ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of our goals.
We are our Sister's keeper. Let us lead together!
